April is from Panama City, Florida. She attended South University-Savannah for her Bachelor’s Science of Nursing undergraduate degree. She later participated in Herzing University and continued to obtain her Master’s in Science of Nursing degree in their Family Nurse Practitioner program. She has served in healthcare for over 15 years, with experience in ER, Trauma, and Rheumatology. April is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner and holds an Autonomous APRN license in Florida and a CRNP license in Maryland.  April provided care to rheumatology patients at Bay Arthritis Institute in Florida for over 8 years, initially as an infusion RN and then as a Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner. She recently relocated to Maryland where she has proudly been providing care as a Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner at Arthritis and Pain of PG County.  She also has experience in wellness/weight management and offers these services to our patients. She has been an active member of the American Nurse Society, Florida Nurse Society, Rheumatology Nurse Society, and Infusion Nurse Society.  She has a particular interest in preventive/holistic care and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
