Deborah Kim, DO, FACR, RhMSUS
A native of South Korea, she attended University of Virginia as a biology and music major graduating with a highest distinction in piano performance. She worked at NIH (National Institutes of Health) for two years studying osteogenesis imperfecta prior to attending medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her internal medicine residency at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore MD, which was then followed by a rheumatology fellowship at Medstar Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center in D.C. She is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
She is amongst a select group of rheumatologists who have completed a musculoskeletal ultrasound training through USSONAR (Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists) and have received American College of Rheumatology certification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (RhMSUS). Her clinical interests are lupus, gout and rheumatoid arthritis.
